Every Tome needs a Storyteller

Every archive holds a new tale to tell, but without someone to guide the Ink along, there is no world. There is no components. There is no life. That is where a storyteller comes to play. To Master the Domains is to take on the mantle of a "DM."

— The Domain Master, ???

Who is Istoria?

Istoria is, simply put, the storyteller. A woman cloaked in purple with a body made from Ink itself. A singular mask sits upon her face, something that shifts and changes as the story demands. She is the narrator, but her influence is sparse. The only title she possesses outside of the "Storyteller" or the "Lady of Ink" is simply the "Domain Master."

If you wish to be more "meta" about what she is, she is simply a persona I use when I DM so I can feel more confident in my ability and less bad about nuking my players to Avernus.

What is Isotira's Rules?

Istoria is merely the messenger, not the one at play. She tells the story, but it is up to the readers to carve its path. That is, after all, how the Ink functions. It may make up the words, but it is up to the influence of the beings within the make a new tale. She will only interfere during times of unfairness, when events need a little push to keep moving, or when a story needs a little... rewriting to see its full potential, but even that is unusual. The world revolves around luck, after all. Istoria is just a neutral force.

Does Istoria take other forms?

Istoria can change her form. Most notably, her form can change based on the setting of the current archive being referenced and what Cluster Galaxy is being read. Her usual form is a playful figure in purple robes, which encapsulates the whimsy and friendly nature that Artimis possesses. Her more red-toned form is technological and based on a radio station host, mimicking the setting through the use of chronicles documented on small drives on Aethena. Another more melancholy form is from Apolion, which possesses a form that mutters and seems saddened by the dangers of the world while still fostering a sense of heroism within those who inhabit the lands.
